Terms of service
Welcome to The Reset at Cedar. A place to pause, reconnect and make space for yourself.
These terms explain what to expect when using our website, shopping with us or booking a stay, retreat or event. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy and the specific terms provided for your booking.
About us
The Reset at Cedar is operated by [legal business name], trading as The Reset at Cedar.
Business address: [business address]
Company number, if applicable: [company number]
Email: hello@theresetatcedar.co.uk
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business named above.
Using our website
Please use our website lawfully and respectfully. You must not misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce harmful software or copy our content for commercial use without permission.
When placing an order or booking, please provide accurate contact and payment details. If you create an account, keep your login details secure.
The person placing an order or booking must be aged 18 or over.
Orders and booking confirmation
Placing an order or booking is a request to purchase. Your contract with us begins when we send confirmation that we have accepted it. An automated acknowledgement alone does not mean that your order has been accepted.
Your confirmation will set out the products or services purchased, the price and any relevant dates or payment arrangements. Please check it and contact us promptly if anything looks incorrect.
If we cannot accept your order or booking, we will explain why and refund any payment already taken.
Prices and payments
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes unless clearly stated otherwise. Delivery charges and any additional costs will be shown before you complete your purchase.
For bookings paid in instalments, the deposit, balance and payment dates will be explained before you book.
If a payment is overdue, we will contact you and give you a reasonable opportunity to pay before considering cancellation. Any cancellation charges must follow the fair terms agreed when you booked.
Price changes will not affect orders or bookings we have already accepted.
Shopping with The Reset
We aim to describe our products accurately. Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen, and handmade items may have small variations. Products must still match their description and meet your statutory rights.
Delivery costs and estimated times will be shown before checkout. Unless another timeframe is agreed, we will deliver products within 30 days of accepting your order.
Goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered to you or someone you have nominated to receive them.
For information about changing your mind, returning purchases or reporting faulty goods, please read our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Booking your time at The Reset
Each stay, retreat or event has its own description explaining the dates, accommodation, activities, meals and other inclusions.
Please check these details before booking. Only the services expressly included in your booking form part of the price.
Check-in and check-out times, guest limits, age requirements and any rules about children, pets or visitors will be provided before you book.
If you book for a group, please share the booking information and relevant site guidelines with everyone attending.
Cancellations and changes requested by you
We understand that plans can change. Please email hello@theresetatcedar.co.uk with your booking reference if you need to cancel or request a change.
Your booking is subject to the cancellation and date-change terms provided before you book. These explain any applicable charges, refund deadlines and deposit conditions.
Accommodation and leisure bookings for specific dates do not have the standard 14-day cooling-off period that applies to many online product purchases.
Any cancellation charge will be reasonable and reflect our net loss, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
A requested change is confirmed only when we agree it with you in writing.
Changes or cancellations by us
Occasionally, we may need to make a minor adjustment to a retreat programme, such as changing the order of activities or replacing a facilitator with someone suitably qualified. We will aim to preserve the overall experience and let you know where relevant.
If we need to make a significant change to your booking, we will explain your options. You may accept the change, agree an alternative or cancel the affected booking for a full refund.
If we cancel your booking, we will refund the amount paid to us for that booking. Where available, you may choose an alternative date instead.
If severe weather or another event beyond our reasonable control prevents us from safely providing your booking, we will contact you promptly and explain the available options. These circumstances do not remove your statutory rights.
Sharing the space
The Reset is a place for rest, connection and respect. Please be considerate towards other guests, our team, neighbouring properties and the surrounding wildlife.
Follow the safety instructions and site guidelines provided for your stay. Fires, cooking equipment and other facilities must only be used in authorised areas and as instructed.
If someone’s behaviour creates a serious safety risk or substantially disrupts others, we may ask them to stop the behaviour or, where necessary, leave. Any decision about refunds or charges will be fair and take account of the circumstances.
You may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs for damage caused deliberately or through negligence by you or members of your group. This does not include normal wear and tear.
Wellbeing and activities
Our retreats and wellbeing activities are intended to support relaxation and personal wellbeing. They do not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Please choose activities appropriate to your health and abilities, follow the facilitator’s instructions and stop if you feel unwell or uncomfortable. Participation is optional.
If you have concerns about whether an activity is suitable for you, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before attending.
Dietary and accessibility requirements
Please contact us before booking to discuss accessibility needs, allergies or dietary requirements so we can explain what we can accommodate.
We will describe our facilities honestly and confirm any arrangements agreed with you. Please do not assume that a particular adjustment or dietary provision is available until we have confirmed it.
Where food is provided, we will give relevant allergen information. We cannot promise an allergen-free environment unless this has been expressly confirmed.
Personal belongings and our responsibilities
Please take reasonable care of your belongings while staying with us.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This explains how we collect, use, store and share information when you browse, shop or book with us.
Our content
The website’s text, branding, photographs and other content belong to us or are used with permission.
You are welcome to browse and share links to our website. Please obtain permission before reproducing our content for commercial purposes.
Questions and complaints
If something has not met your expectations, please let us know so we have the opportunity to help.
Email hello@theresetatcedar.co.uk with your order or booking reference and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond as promptly as reasonably possible.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version provided when your order or booking is accepted will apply to that purchase unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in your home courts that apply to you.
